James Lee Burke, a rare winner of two Edgar Awards, is the author of twenty-seven previous novels and two collections of short stories. In 2009 he was honored by The Mystery Writers of America with their highest honor—the Grandmaster Award. He lives in Missoula, Montana, and New Iberia, Louisiana.
